Use Sturdy Water Storage Containers

When storing water make sure you use sturdy ones.  The thin plastic gallon milk containers are not good to store water in.  After a while they start to degrade and eventually leak.  I used them and had them stored in a utility cabinet and one day noticed water on the floor beside the cabinet.  Come to find out some of the containers were leaking.

I’ve also bought some of the Meijer spring water containers too and they don’t store well either.

I’ve bought about 7 – 2.5 gallon water storage containers from Amazon.com, but also am using the big thick plastic gallon containers that Arizona and Trade Winds tea comes in.  So far I haven’t had a problem with them as far as leaking.

Here’s a link to a water storage container that I’ve purchased from Amazon in the past:  Reliance Products Aqua-Pak 2.5 Gallon Rigid Water Container
